Glitter is a Scandinavian chain of costume jewelry and accessory stores that grew out of Sweden and is also present in Norway and Denmark. The format is compact outlets in shopping centers and on pedestrian streets, stocked with everyday items: earrings, rings, pendants and chains, bracelets, hair clips, elastics and headbands, sunglasses, cosmetic bags, small handbags, phone cases and phone accessories. There is a separate selection of piercing jewelry and gift-wrapped sets. A gift card pays for purchases in the chain's stores and, in some countries, for online orders as well. The card's currency is tied to the country of issue — Danish, Norwegian or Swedish kronor — so the card is chosen for the country where it will be used.
How to redeem the card
- Check the country and currency of the card — it is intended for the chain's stores in that particular country.
- Gather your purchase in the store or build a basket in the chain's online shop.
- At the register, read out the code or show it on your phone screen before paying.
- For an online order, enter the code in the gift card field at the payment step.
- If the purchase costs more than the card value, pay the difference with another payment method.
FAQ
Will a card in Swedish kronor work in a store in Norway or Denmark?
No. The card is tied to the country of issue and its currency, so purchases in another country require a card issued for that country.
Can the card pay for an ear piercing service in store?
That depends on the rules of the particular location: some accept gift cards for goods only, others for related services as well. Check with a staff member before the procedure.
What happens to the unused part of the balance?
The remainder usually stays on the card and can be used for the next purchase. The conditions are set by the retailer, so it is best to check the balance at the register.
