The balance works on every device signed in to the same account — iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV. This version of the card is meant for digital purchases and is not intended for paying for hardware and accessories in retail. The card is issued for a specific country and currency: it can only be credited to an account with the matching store region, so the face value is chosen to suit the country of the recipient's account.
How to redeem the card
- Make sure the country of the Apple account matches the country the card was issued for.
- Open the App Store on the device and go to the account section.
- Choose the gift card redemption option and enter the code by hand or scan it with the camera.
- Confirm the operation and check the current balance in the account settings.
- Make purchases as usual — the balance is drawn on first.

Can the balance be used to pay for subscriptions?
Yes, funds on the account balance are used for recurring charges for Apple subscriptions and for in-app subscriptions bought through the App Store.
What happens if the balance does not cover a purchase?
The remaining balance is spent first, and the shortfall is charged to the payment method linked to the account. Without such a method, the purchase cannot be completed.
Can the balance be moved to another account?
No. Once a code is redeemed the funds stay with that account and are not transferred between profiles, family members or countries.
Will the card work for buying an iPhone or accessories?
No, the App Store & iTunes version covers only digital purchases and services. Paying for devices uses other types of Apple card, which are not available in every country.
