California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) is an American casual dining chain that opened in Beverly Hills in 1985. It built its reputation on pizzas with unconventional toppings, and the one that drew the most attention was the BBQ Chicken Pizza with chicken, barbecue sauce, red onion and cilantro. Alongside pizza, the menu covers pasta, salads, soups, appetisers, sandwiches and desserts, as well as vegetarian dishes and a gluten-free crust. The restaurants operate in the United States and, under franchise, in a number of other countries, including the Philippines, where the chain can be found in shopping centres in the larger cities. A gift card pays the check in the dining room, a takeaway order, or delivery placed through the chain. It covers food and drinks; if the check comes to more than the card's value, the remainder is settled with another payment method.
