Cineplex is a Canadian chain of cinemas and entertainment venues. It runs auditoriums in a range of formats: standard, IMAX, UltraAVX and 3D, plus VIP auditoriums with more comfortable seating and service at your seat. Alongside film, the chain operates The Rec Room and Playdium entertainment centres with arcade games, bowling and dining areas. A gift card is typically used for tickets — at the box office, at a self-service kiosk, or when booking seats online — as well as for concession purchases: popcorn, drinks, snacks and combo deals. In the chain's digital store, the card also covers film rentals and purchases. The denomination is spent in stages: if an order costs more than the remaining balance, the difference is paid by another method.
