Guardian is a chain of pharmacies and health and beauty stores operating across Southeast Asia, including Singapore and Vietnam. The format combines a pharmacy counter staffed by a pharmacist with a large drugstore section. A gift card covers the usual assortment of such a chain: skincare and haircare, colour cosmetics, personal hygiene products, vitamins and supplements, mother and baby items, household odds and ends, and over-the-counter medicines. Some locations also have optical counters and home health monitoring devices such as blood pressure monitors, thermometers and test kits. Payment is made at the store till: the card settles the bill in full or in part, with the difference paid another way. Restricted categories — primarily prescription medicines, infant formula and tobacco products — are set by the chain itself, so it is worth checking them with the cashier.
