Different retailers trade under the Lowes name in different countries, and that matters when choosing a denomination. In Australia, Lowes is a chain of everyday clothing stores: menswear and childrenswear, school uniforms, basic knitwear, trousers and shirts, workwear and outdoor clothing, accessories. In the United States, Lowe's is a large home improvement chain: hand and power tools, finishing and building materials, plumbing, lighting, paint, kitchen appliances, garden equipment and plants, goods for the yard. Hence the two denomination currencies: a card in Australian dollars is meant for the Australian clothing chain, a card in US dollars for the American home improvement stores. The cards are not interchangeable, so it is worth checking the recipient's country against the currency of the denomination before buying.
