PlayStation Store is Sony's digital store for PlayStation consoles. A gift card tops up the wallet of an account, and that balance pays for purchases inside the store: full versions of games and their add-ons, in-game currency and bundles, pre-orders, and — in regions where the section is available — buying and renting films. The same balance pays for a PlayStation Plus subscription, which provides online play, a game catalogue and cloud saves. The card is tied to a region: the code is accepted only by an account from the country it was issued for, so the amount and the country are chosen to match a particular profile. The wallet balance is drawn on at the next purchase, any remainder stays on the account, and it is available on PS5, on PS4 and in the web version of the store.
