Sixt is an international car rental company founded in Germany and operating through a network of stations at airports, railway stations and in city centres across dozens of countries. Its fleet reaches well beyond the standard economy segment: alongside the usual city models there are premium saloons and SUVs from German marques, convertibles, electric cars, as well as minibuses and light commercial vehicles for moving house. Besides classic daily rental, the company also runs longer-term subscription and car-sharing formats in selected cities. A gift certificate is applied when paying for a rental: its value counts towards the booking, and any difference is covered by the driver's bank card. Extras — insurance packages, child seats, navigation, an additional driver — are charged at the station's rates. Requirements for age, licence held and deposit are set by the rental station in the country of hire.
