SuperGavekortet is a multi-brand gift card widely used in Scandinavia, issued in Danish and Norwegian kroner. Its point is that the value is not tied to a single store: the programme brings together a pool of retail chains and services — clothing and footwear, electronics, homeware, books, restaurants, entertainment and leisure — and the recipient decides where to spend the amount. Technically the card is a code or voucher that the holder enters on the programme's portal, where the participating partners and the remaining balance are shown. The value can often be split between several brands rather than spent in one place. The list of participants differs by country and is updated from time to time, so it is worth checking the current list for the relevant country and currency before buying — the Danish and Norwegian sets of partners are not identical.
