About the Coppel card

Coppel is a large Mexican department store chain that also operates in Argentina. Its stores bring several categories together under one roof: clothing and footwear for the whole family, home appliances and electronics, smartphones, furniture and mattresses, homeware and kitchen goods, watches, jewelry, perfume, bicycles and sporting goods. The chain runs an online store with delivery and in-store pickup, along with its own installment purchase system that a considerable share of customers use. A gift card pays for purchases in Coppel stores and, where supported, for orders on the chain's website in the country the card was issued for: a card denominated in MXN is intended for Mexico, one in ARS for Argentina. The card's value is applied to the receipt total, and any difference on a more expensive purchase is covered by another payment method.

How to redeem the card

1. Check the card's country and currency — Mexico (MXN) or Argentina (ARS).
2. Choose your items in one of the chain's stores or in its online store.
3. At the checkout, say you are paying with a gift card and hand over the code, along with the PIN if the card has one.
4. For an online order, enter the card details in the payment method field during checkout.
5. If the purchase costs more than the card's value, pay the remainder by bank card, in cash or by another available method.
