About the TUI card

TUI is a large European travel group headquartered in Germany. The company sells package holidays combining flight and hotel, standalone hotel bookings, cruises, guided tour programmes and transfers, and it also owns its own hotel chains, cruise brands and an airline. Sales run through the websites of its national divisions, a mobile app and a network of travel agencies in Germany, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Belgium and other European countries. A TUI gift card is used as a means of payment when booking a trip: it covers part or all of the cost of a package, hotel, cruise or extra services. The format works well as a wedding, anniversary or graduation present — when you want to give an experience but leave the dates and destination to the recipient. Bear in mind the country of issue: TUI's divisions in different countries operate as separate sales channels with their own ranges.

How to redeem the card

  1. Choose a package, hotel, cruise or other service on the TUI site for the country the card was issued for.
  2. Make the booking and proceed to the payment step.
  3. Select the gift card among the payment methods and enter the code.
  4. Pay any remaining amount by card or another available method.
  5. If you are booking through an agency or by phone, give the code to the member of staff at the point of payment.

FAQ

Can the card cover only part of the holiday cost?

Yes, a gift card is normally applied as a partial payment: its value is deducted from the booking total and you settle the difference in the usual way. That suits cases where the card is given as a contribution towards a trip rather than for the full cost.

Can the card be used for extras and add-ons?

As a rule it covers not just the base package but also additional items in the same booking — baggage, seat selection, transfers, excursions. The range of available add-ons depends on the particular holiday and the country of booking.

Does the card work in another country where TUI operates?

No. TUI's divisions in different countries sell separately, so the card must be used on the site of the country and in the currency it was issued for.

What happens to the card if the trip is cancelled?

The refund procedure is set by the terms of the specific booking: funds paid with a gift card are usually returned in the same form — to the card or as a new code. Cancellation terms are set out in your booking confirmation.
